The following web links will get you started in finding almost any information you need to strengthen your after school program.

The Afterschool Alliance - a coalition of public, private, and nonprofit organizations dedicated to raising awareness of the importance of after-school programs and advocating for quality, affordable programs for all children. www.afterschoolalliance.org

Afterschool.gov - Offers one-stop access to all federal government resources that support
after-school programs with frequent updates of research studies, news and publications.

Benton Foundation Kids Campaign - This information and action center for adults who want to make their communities work for kids includes resources on after-school time.

Charles Stewart Mott Foundation - The C.S. Mott Foundation is a leading partner in the U.S. Department of Educations 21st Century Community Learning Center's initiative.

The Coalition for Community Schools - The Coalition works to improve education and to help students learn and grow while supporting and strengthening their families and communities.

Foundations, Inc. - A non-profit community service organization that operates quality
programs and provides technical assistance and support to hundreds of sites and thousands of children and families across the country

Indiana Afterschool Network The Indiana Afterschool Network was founded to create a statewide infrastructure to support community/school partnerships directed toward developing statewide policy, raising public awareness and support, and creating programs which foster quality, innovative out-of-school-time programs

Mid-Continent Regional Educational Laboratory - This site is a useful compendium of Internet resources and examples of innovative after-school programs compiled by one of the U.S. Department of Education-funded regional education laboratories.

Marion County Commission on Youth (MCCOY)- MCCOY's mission - to champion the positive development of youth - sets a high standard for improving and expanding the quality of youth opportunities in central Indiana. To accomplish this mission, they work on many issues, with many organizations, and in many capacities. At the core of their approach are four strategic roles: advocate, resource, capacity builder, and convener.

National Institute for Out-of-School Time - Offering a variety of resources geared towards moving the after-school community forward.
